The Pain Free Back Blog

Monday, April 26th, 2010

Greetings,

OneĀ  purpose of this blog is to answer your questions about back pain. I have been treating patients who suffer from LBP for close to 30 years. While I do not have all the answers, (who does? ), I am pretty sure that I can help you make sense of your situation and get you on the path to a pain free life.

Feel free to post questions and I will do what I can to answer them in a meaningful way.

First of all , I want to make sure you know what the RED FLAGS are. These are situations that typically require the attention of your physician. In most cases, a trip to the doc will suffice. In the event you experience loss of bowel or bladder function though, please go straight to the Emergency Room (ER). The ER is best equipped to help you in this situation because loss of bladder function is a TIME SENSITIVE issue. You should not delay.

Other red flags are more or less suggestive of pain caused by other than the musculoskeletal system. Night time pain is suggestive of an infection of sorts, or possibly a tumor. So make sure to read over the list carefully (in the next post by the name RED FLAGS), and make sure that your situation is not a red flag situation before you seek the help of an ancillary provider.

Again, feel free to post questions for me, and I will do my best to answer them.
